Bethia Mitchell Press Kit/ EPK 

ARTIST BIO 

Now a seasoned songwriter and performer Bethia has achieved a lot in her 25 years. Since she entered on to the UK music scene in 2006 Bethia has written over 150 songs, released 2 full albums, 1 EP and 1 LP,  performed all over the UK at festivals and venues such as The Musician (Leicester) The Louisiana (Bristol), Moles and Komedia (Bath), Proud Camden, The Troubadour and last but not least The Royal Albert Hall (London) where she recorded a live LP with an 18 piece orchestra - released in Summer 2014. 

 

Armed with her 'Extraordinary' LP (AKA Live at Komedia) and her previous EP ‘The Lovely Bones’ Bethia spent time touring around America where she also spent a long stint in Nashville, Tennessee,  performing at a multitude of venues including The Blue Bird Cafe, Bobby’s Idol Hour, and B.A.D off of Broadway, nurtured various co-writing projects with Americana artists she met on her travels and started working on material for her long-anticipated next album, due to be released this year (2018).

 

With influences from artists such as Joni Mitchell, David Gray,  Glen Hansard, Newton Faulkner, and Benjamin Francis-Leftwich; And her time spent touring in America,  Bethia's unique sound is now situated firmly in the Americana genre. Her timeless and powerful voice, Deep and insightful lyrics, and classy but catchy melodies make for a spellbinding and emotionally provocative experience, keeping her audience captivated in every performance, from which she can often command complete silence in even the rowdiest of venues.
